Originating from the Latin ‘parricus’, meaning enclosure, parks were first developed as private hunting grounds keeping animals in and people out. Today parks are curated areas of natural or planted space set aside for enjoyment and recreation or for the protection of wildlife and natural habitats.

 

The monumental and site-specific installation is based on the history of privatization of public space and the role of green spaces in our environment.
